Not going to about for this one, as we're off to see Sucker Punch. Kinda appropriate, looking at that pitching match-up [and you can interpret this however you want!]. It was supposed to have been before the game, but "any time after 5" for SnakePit Jr. apparently translates to actually mean, "probably not be able to get there before 5:30", kinda crossing off the scheduled 5:15 pm screening. </shakesfistatdamnkids>. That said, I think I'll happily dodge this one - especially since Nick Piecoro just tweeted, "The Dbacks bullpen has an NL-worst 5.40 ERA." Thank you, Buzz Killington...

  1. Willie Bloomquist LF
  2. Kelly Johnson 2B
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Stephen Drew SS
  5. Chris Young CF
  6. Russell Branyan 1B
  7. Miguel Montero C
  8. Ryan Roberts 3B
  9. Armando Galarraga RHP

Another uncomfortable fact: the Diamondbacks have never beaten Chris Carpenter. In 11 appearances against Arizona, all but one of them starts, he is 4-0 with a 2.54 ERA. That said, there are a few people with some decent success against him in their careers, most notably Branyan (6-for-16), Johnson (7-for-16) and Young (6-for-12), each man having also homered. On the other hand, Drew is 1-for-13, and Upton 0-for-11 with eight strikeouts, which is not what you want to see from your #3 and #4 hitters. Not much experience by the Cardinals against Galarraga: 4-for-14 in total, with one homer, a walk and three K's.

'Skins will be coming at you after the game, with his first recap of the 2011 season, so stick around for that.
