An amazingly-close game here. Snake took Runs by one, Slammers HR by the same margin; Snake won ERA by just 0.12, and Slammers WHIP by a minuscule 0.0083. Posada (Slammers) homered three times; Young (Snake) drove in and scored seven. Harang (Slammers) had two Wins; Garcia (Snake) struck out 18.
Blonde Streaks 3, Los Wailoracles 6
Los swept pitching, notching 11 Saves - Hanrahan and Street got four each - and posting a team 2.41 ERA. Holland and Chacin each won twice for Los. Streaks fought back on offense, where Kendrick had four HR and Beckham scored ten Runs. But it wasn't enough, as Konerko drove in 11 and homered three times for Los.
Lady Gaga Regatta 4, Phoenix Platypi 6
The Platypi took all five hitting categories, though won HR and RBI by a single tally - Cabrera (3 HR, 9 RBI) was crucial to that success. Regatta got two Wins and 11 K's from Arroyo, as they responded by coming close to leveling things in pitching, but lost Saves, and the overall total: Nuñez and Putz each saved three for the Platypi.
The Fighting Amish 1, Lil Bitches 8
Amish's season got off to a big start; even with Oswalt's two Wins, their only success was in Saves, where Nathan took three. Otherwise, Lil rolled to a comprehensive opening victory, behind the Reds' pairing of Votto and Phillips, who combined to score 24 Runs. Beltre had three HR, and Kuroda also picked up two W's on their side.
Ignatius J. Rallies 4, warlords 6
war edged the Rallies by 0.01 on ERA, and that edged the overall score to them. Haren (Rallies) got two W + 13 K's, but Nelson Cruz (war) picked up hitter of the week honors for his five HR, ten RBI performance, and Howard drove in 11. The sides combined for only one save; Beckett (Rallies) led all pitchers here, with 14 strikeouts.
Mizzoula Osprey 7, Sofa King Juiced 2
The newly-promoted Osprey wasted no time in making a statement. Braun and Kinsler each homered four times and combined for 19 R; Lincecum struck out 18 to go with his Win. Sofa's pitching may need adjustment after an opening ERA above six, but Teixeira had four HR for them, while Garza struck-out twenty.
Bad Wolf 8, Whooping Zoidbergs 2
Player of the week goes to Weaver of Wolf, who went 3-0 with 27 strikeouts, leading them a pitching sweep and an impressive total of 93 K's. They also got four shutout Saves from Rivera. Napoli and Rodriguez had three HR each for the Zoidbergs, but Tabata's 11 Runs and Rolen's ten RBI kept Wolf ahead on offense.
