Yes, good to see our boys in Chase Field again. Barry Enright had a flurry of pictures posted on Twitter to celebrate the return to the stadium, and it'll be good to see baseball being played there soon.

[Fox Sports Arizona] Camp Gibby: Plenty of work, plenty to do - A nice wrap-up of spring training. I feel like the concerns they list certainly overwhelm the surprises, at least in the short term- and while the Hyenas doesn't have the same draw as the Baby 'Backs, I like the mental image. "They swarm and they are hungry, Gibson said." Here's hoping we'll see some progress from the Hyenas in the minors this year, to give us optimism for 2012.

[AZ Central] Arizona Diamondbacks' J.J. Putz says he's ready to go despite light training - 4 1/3 innings is a bit concerning, though I do remember he said something around the beginning of March that he usually only pitched around 7 innings in Spring Training. Nothing to do but sit back and wait to see what the results are, I suppose.

[DBacks.com] Towers hopes for improvement from D-backs - Uh, we all do, Kevin. We all do. (Have I clipped this before, or does a variation on this headline and article get posted about twice a week?)

[AZ Central] Arizona Diamondbacks' Bobby Borchering is impressive but won't be rushed - We may be just 48 hours from the start of the 2011 season, but let's be honest- a lot of what we're looking forward to is in seasons to come, and Borchering is just one of the players we'll be hoping develops in the next few seasons.

[Yahoo] Fan's take: Diamondbacks fans should be excited to open 2011 season - MLB - Yahoo! Sports - Uh, I don't know that I fully agree with... Well, anything said here. But, hey, someone's managing

[Bleacher Report] 2011 Fantasy Baseball Sleepers: D'Backs' Daniel Hudson Poised for Big Season - Some kind words about our own Huddy. They say he's got the potential to be a borderline top-30 pitcher, which isn't bad for a guy in a pitcher's park.

[ESPN] Bud Selig 'hopeful' labor peace will continue in MLB - It better- if the US is faced with possibly missing their three main sports leagues, they might do something drastic. Like go outside, or talk to their friends and family. Or start following soccer. Nah, that's just crazy, they'll probably just get really into NASCAR.
-
[Fox Sports] Ken Rosenthal to wear bow ties for charity during MLB on FOX in 2011 season - A nice thing to do- each week, a different bow tie for a different charity. Quite a change in attitude for Rosenthal, who apparently protested wearing a bow tie during the World Series. I don't know why, though, I have it on good authority that bow ties are cool.
-
[Sports Illustrated] Derek Jeter chasing 3,000 hits leads stories to watch in 2011 - Plenty going on in baseball this year. For the inevitable point when you need a breather from the Diamondbacks, here's a few of the prominent storylines that you'll probably have shoved in your face by the media.

[The Post Game] Beloved Baseball Family Gives To Live - Hey, it's a David Eckstein link, and I'm not going to make a scrappy joke here. Most of the Eckstein family either has needed a kidney transplant, or has donated one to another family member. With David not playing baseball this season for the first time in years, he's volunteering to donate next. A pretty nice story.
