Gameday Thread, NLDS #1: 10/1 vs. Brewers

One hour left, and the Diamondbacks will take on the Brewers in Milwaukee. The first game is certainly important, especially in a short series like this, and I can't think of anyone better than Kennedy to take the mound for us. ZM will be covering [or has covered - whether this or his piece goes up first is to be determined!] the pitching match-up there. Today will actually be the first time ever that the Diamondbacks have started a playoff campaign away from Phoenix. It would be nice for them to get on the board first, which could help take the Miller park crowd, who are bound to be raucous, out of the equation

  1. Willie Bloomquist SS
  2. Aaron Hill 2B
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Miguel Montero C
  5. Chris Young CF
  6. Lyle Overbay 1B
  7. Ryan Roberts 3B
  8. Gerardo Parra LF
  9. Ian Kennedy RHP

Yep. Willie is at the top of the order, but after 94 wins, #InGibbyWeTrust. Overbay replaced Goldschmidt at first. Jack Magruder tweets that Lyle does have a .302 average at Miller Park - however, I imagine that was mostly from when he played with the Brewers, back in 2004 and 2005, and I wonder how relevant that is to his performance in October 2011. Otherwise, much as expected. It seems Don Baylor is rattling around the clubhouse, so that's good to hear. We'll be heading out to Friday's Front Row, so if you're going there,. we'll see you. Otherwise, catch you in the comments or the recap!
