And a pretty good visit, too. We went 5-1 in our last home stand, and ended it with one of the most exciting home wins of the season- I wouldn't say most exciting, because I'm pretty sure that title still belongs to Chris Young's walkoff at the second Snakepitfestapaloozathon-a-go-go this season. But with the season winding down, it's nice to just take a minute and be able to enjoy a good win and a good home stand.

[azcentral.com] Four-run eighth inning propels Arizona Diamondbacks past Los Angeles Dodgers in home finale - Chris Young knew he was hitless against Broxton. When they told him it was thirteen at-bats, he replied: "Not as bad as it felt. It felt like it was 45."
-
[foxsportsarizona.com] Diamondbacks rally past Dodgers 5-4 - Any game where you can give the loss to Broxton is a good one- and was it just me, or did it seem like Grace's mancrush was less noticeable yesterday? Hard times for the big ol' country boy.
-
[dbacks.com] D-backs' rally punctuates win in home finale - "For us to get the last home win of the season, I think it's great for the fans. I was proud of the boys for picking me up and coming back and getting the 'W.'" It kind of was great. The season was rough, but the boys went out on a high note at home.

[latimes.com] Chad Billingsley shines, bullpen collapses in Dodgers' 5-4 loss to Diamondbacks - "The outcome of the game, of course, is actually meaningless between these two lower division teams." That's loser talk! I mean, so is thinking the game has actual meaning, but shut up and let's just enjoy the win.
-
[azcentral.com] Former Arizona Diamondbacks interim GM Jerry Dipoto leaning toward remaining in the organization - The team has offered Dipoto a job pretty similar to what he was doing under Josh Byrnes.
-
[dbacks.com] Upton to get second opinion on left shoulder - J-Up will have Dr. James Andrews look at his shoulder, but it's still looking unlikely we'll see him play again this year.

[ocregister.com] Driver's family asks for forgiveness in Adenhart crash - The driver who killed Nick Adenhart and two others was found guilty of three counts of murder. I'm sure most of us remember the tragedy of Nick Adenhart's death last year. Joe Saunders switched his uniform number to #34, Adenhart's number, when he came to the Diamondbacks.

[fangraphs.com] Saying Goodbye To A Prince - Fielder's (potential) last home game in Milwaukee has been a fairly big topic of discussion in the past 24 hours. Will the Brewers try to trade him this off-season, or will they wait to see if he can drive up the value next year? He's already making $10.5 million this year and due for arbitration- that's likely to limit their return.

[Gaslamp Ball] Heath Bell tweets about Colorado Rockies cheating scandal? - Add Heath Bell to those who think there's something rotten in the state of Denve...er, Colorado. I'm kind of curious- if all these pitchers seem so certain and that they can tell a difference, why wouldn't the umpires notice something, too?
