The last time the Diamondbacks won a series in San Franciso was more than two years ago - July 25-27, 2008. In the five series completed since then, Arizona went just 2-13 in AT&T Park, but come into Sunday's game with a shot at the sweep. They've enjoyed a pair of excellent starting performance and have outscored the Giants 17-2 over the first two games: in their last series victory, Randy Johnson closed out the whitewash on Sunday afternoon, pitching seven shutout innings as we cruised to a 7-2 victory: Mark Reynolds homered off Barry Zito, and Stephen Drew had three hits. Is that an omen for today? We can only hope...

- Rodrigo Lopez rhp
Admittedly, hoping for seven shutout innings from Lopez is probably a bit optimistic. He hasn't gone more than five in his past four starts, allowing eighteen earned runs in 19.1 innings. He has also yet to pick up a W against the Giants, being 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA against them. It seems to me, that if we win this one, it's more likely to be in spite of Lopez, than because of him. But we'll see what happens: the last three games have been close to the best trio of outings, overall, by the Diamondbacks this year. Can they four-peat?
Recap-wise, I think hotclaws said she could do it. Confirmation of that would be nice; if I haven't heard by the end of the third, I'll re-assign it, so let us know if you're interested.
