AZ SnakePit Fantasy Baseball: Week 20

Division One saw a lot of close games this week, with only one winner taking more than six categories, but there was a curious lack of home-runs for many teams. DIVISION ONE

NiceCrispyBacon 5, Funny Team Name 4
Wins finished level at two, allowing Bacon to snatch overall victory, despite their entire team homering just once this week. A 2.22 ERA, behind Lilly's complete-game shutout and Price's 13 K's, was more impressive. Hamilton had two HR and eight RBI for Funny.

warlords 6, Shoryukens! 4
war swept hitting, and held on in the face of Shoryu's pitching onslaught - Street's two saves for war proved crucial. Shoryu got a W and 15 strikeouts from Billingsley and posted a 0.98 WHIP, but war's offense enjoyed six Runs apiece from Wright and Ramirez.

Balco's Boys 6, 7-2 Offsuiters 3
Balco's piled up six wins - two apiece for Garland and Buchholz - which was enough for victory, in a week where both sides combined managed only three round-trippers, two off the bat of Bruce (Balco's). 7-2 got both their Wins and 15 strikeouts from Oswalt.

Baked 6, Blonde Streaks 2
Wins and Saves ended tied, but Baked took all five offensive categories. They hit .304 for the week, with two HR and seven Runs from Heyward, their top hitting performance - Young also went yard twice. Wilson (Blonde) and Valverde (Baked) each saved two games.

Sofa King Juiced 5, AZ SnakePit 5
The week's closest game pitted #4 Sofa against #3 Pit and the teams couldn't be separated. Sofa got three HR and seven Runs from Gonzalez; Konerko drove in six. But Snake came back on the mound, posting 79 K's and six Wins: Arroyo won twice, Kershaw fanned 17.

Moving on Uptons 6, Lady Gaga Regatta 4
Two Wins and 13 K's for Garza proved crucial for Uptons, breaking Lady's stranglehold on the mound - Santana struck out 16 for them. Uptons swept hitting, Ramirez homering twice and driving in seven. Cabrera had four HR and seven RBI in a losing cause for Lady.

The Fighting Amish 3, Confederate Generals 7
Generals enjoyed the biggest win of the week, pounding out a dozen HR, with three apiece for Longoria (who also had 12 RBI) and McCutchen. Two Wins and 14 strikeouts for Scherzer powered their pitching. Soriano saved four for Amish, and Votto drove in seven runs.
