If we can stop Kawakami from getting the victory tonight, he'll have gone winless for a dozen starts at the beginning of the season - that's a streak which hasn't been surpassed in the NL since Matt Beech went without a W over his first fifteen starts for the '97 Phillies. Needless to say, I am hoping this proves to be the case, rather than the Diamondbacks being the first team in 2010 to provide the taste of victory to Kawakami.
Details and line-up after the jump. Though as noted previously, I'll be seeing this one from Chase, where I'll be taking part in a web-chat session with Jack Magruder of FoxSportsArizona.com - please feel free to join us there during the game as well.

We were one of Kawakami's no-decisions when we last faced him, on May 14. He only went 4.1 innings that day, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks. He has been a bit unlucky of late: the Braves have won all three of his no-decisions, and Kawakami has had a 3.60 ERA in his four winless starts since we saw him last. Interesting to see Rusty Ryal get the start at 1B, his fourth of the season: one wonders if this (a position he didn't play in the minors) is in preparation for a trade of Adam LaRoche?
