DIVISION 1

The Fighting Amish 8, AZ SnakePit 2
The table-top battle went to Amish, who inflicted the first defeat of the year on SnakePit. Amish were helped by two starts from Jimenez, and the resulting two Wins, 17 K, and a 1.12 ERA, and A-Rod's two HR + eight RBI. Snake got two HR, nine RBI from Youkilis.

Moving on Uptons 6, Shoryukens! 4
Shoryu were let down by their pitching: no wins and a 6.44 ERA. Uptons took advantage, with Hernandez producing a Win and nine strikeouts. Rodriguez got three Sv for Shoryu, and Hunter drove in ten for them, but Pujols (six RBI, three SB) boosted the Uptons to victory.

Funny Team Name 2, 7-2 Offsuiters 6
7-2's edge was mostly at the plate, where Rolen homered three times and drove in eight, while Tulowitzki had two HR and stole three bases. Things were closer at the plate where W + Sv were tied. Hanson (7-2) won twice, while Johnson (Funny) had a W + 9 K's.

Balco's Boys 5, Blonde Streaks 4
The closest game of the week just went to Balco's after Wins ended tied at five. Vasquez had a two W, 16 strikeout week, while Wilson notched a W + two Sv for Blonde. On offense, Cano had two HR + five RBI for Blonde; Bourn stole five and scored 11 for Balco's.

Sofa King Juiced 2, NiceCrispyBacon 7
Bacon hit a combined .304, with Young and Howard each driving in seven, on their way to victory, overcoming Sofa's Konerko (three HR, eight RBI). Sofa also got three Saves from Rivera, but Bacon got a W + seven K from Dempster, and prevailed despite the absence of Jurrjens.

Confederate Generals 8, Lady Gaga Regatta 0
Regatta were shut-out by the Generals, with the nearest to a point being ties in Wins and Saves. The Generals swept the offensive categories, Napoli being their star, with two home-runs, eight scored and eight driven in. Matusz picked up 12 strikeouts for them as well.

Baked 1, warlords 9
After winning 10-0 last round, Baked came close to experiencing the other side of a shut-out, taking only Saves (Rauch had three). Otherwise, it was all war: they got three HR and eight RBI from Lee, while Santana picked up two Wins, and Pettitte a W and 15 strikeouts.

DIVISION 2

Mizzoula Osprey 6, Gang of Nine 4
After beginning the season 4-0-1 in matchups, the Gang has dropped their third straight weekly matchup. Pujols and Beltre (Pujols) both belted two homers and brought in six, the former of which swiped three bags. Liriano and Brett Myers (Nine) combined for 33 strikeouts, over half of their team's 61; both Hamels and Oswalt (Mizzoula) had shortened outings, allowing Broxton to lead the team with K's on the week with 7.

Gotham City Knights 5, Fox Hound 4
Gotham's undefeated streak rolls on with this closely-contested matchup against the middle-of-the-pack Fox Hound. Oddly enough, this is only the third week out of nine that Gotham hasn't ended with six categorical wins. Scott Rolen (Fox) continued his surprising hot streak with three homers and seven ribbies. Newly-acquired Ubaldo carried Fox's pitching staff with 2W, 17K, a 1.12ERA and a 0.94WHIP. Adrian González and Robinson Canó both posted identical lines of 5R, 2HR, and 8RBI for Gotham.

Wimboes Barmy Army 2, Yiddish Pimp Slap 7
With this loss, the Army takes sole possession of the league's cellar. Yiddish couldn't cash in on Bautista's two homers this week, a mistake that resulted in a loss in home runs by two. J-Up (Army) had a bit of a power stroke, hitting two homers of his own to go along with 4RBI. Pettitte (Yiddish) struck out 15 over two starts with a Win and a 0.82WHIP; Chris Carpenter (Army) put up an even better 0.50WHIP to go along with a 1.12ERA and Win.

Tempe Prangers 5, The Septimoes 5
With over eleven games separating these two, a tie is more than Septimoes could have asked for this week. Speedster Michael Bourn (Septimoes) somehow racked up 11 runs and two stolen bases on the week, while Cody Ross (Septimoes) lead the team with 7RBI. Garret Jones (Tempe) hit three dingers on the week, yet only had 4RBI to show for it. Both Lindstrom and Wood (Tempe) notched two saves, helping their team take the category by one. K-Rod (Septimoes) had three saves, while Billingsley (Septimoes) struck out 16 over two starts without tallying a win.

Spaghetti Monsters 4, PhoenixFly 5
Entering the week, Phoenix was just a half-game behind Spaghetti, swapping positions this week with a one-game victory over Spaghetti this week. Phoenix's free agent pickup Freddy Sánchez batted .538 on the week with 2RBI, assisting his team in a 45-point win in AVG. No Spaghetti pitcher could hit double-digits in strikeouts, leading to an 18K loss for the week. Matusz (Phoenix) extended his nine-game winless streak over two starts, but put up 12K's in the process.

Chazwozzles 3, Alabama Slammers 6
This matchup of first and worst teams probably went better than Chaz could have expected, securing enough wins to get out of the cellar despite going winless since the first week (0-7-1 since). Chaz rode both Rasmus's and Glaus's recent power surges, as the two combined for 13R, 6HR and 16RBI. Alabama's decisive 20K victory was helped out the most by IPK's 8K showing earlier this week.

Dantes Revenge 4, Sprankton 6
After beginning the season 0-6-1 in matchups, Sprankton took their second consecutive matchup, this time against Revenge. They went for a ridiculous thirteen bombs, with Suzuki and Cabrera hitting three and Toolo getting two of his own. A horrid ERA outing for Sprankton, though (some examples: 11.74, 15.43, 20.25, 11.12, 27.00, 20.25…) lead Revenge to an easy win in the category, despite a hefty 5.40ERA of their own; Clayton Richard (Revenge) lead all starters in the matchup with a 1.50ERA.

DHARMA Initiative 2, Scratch my Ichiro 7
After dropping the last three matchups, Ichiro look to have regained their winning form with a decisive victory over DHARMA. Both Konerko and A-Rod (Ichiro) knocked in eight, while Cantú led DHARMA with seven ribbies of his own. The tag-team of Bailey and Rivera (DHARMA) combined for the team's five saves; Wilson and Jenks (Ichiro) had their team's four in a losing effort. I also hear that DHARMA was pretty mad that Ichiro's pitching staff had only given up 1ER in 22+IP to start the week, but I digress…
