"In waking a tiger, use a long stick."
-- Mao Tse-Tung

Boy, I'm really glad we're not playing the Marlins this series, or this quotes thing might have died an extremely rapid death. Anyway, did we wake the tiger yesterday, with the Diamondbacks getting their first win away from Arizona in over a month? Guess we'll find out this morning - part of me wants to hope for us following up with a series victory, but the other half of me prefers to continue with the pessimism, since that allowed me to be all "pleasantly surprised" when we managed to hold on for a win yesterday.

There will be stuff after the jump. Line-up...probably not so much.

That would be because I am writing this one about 12 hours in advance of first-pitch. At the time this pops up on the Internet, I fully intend to be sprawling in pillowy goodness. I will, however, be doing the recap, so suppose I should make an effort to be conscious for some of the game. There's this guy with weird eyes starting for Detroit. I'm not sure what that's all about. He looks a bit shifty to me. Because of the uncivilized and early hour at which this starts, Snakebytes will be appearing late afternoon, after the recap - hopefully, describing another Arizona win, but let's not get ahead of ourselves there.
