Yeah, got to look at the performances of these two starters - Milwaukee's finest and Arizona's worst, to date - and reckon the Diamondbacks don't have much chance. Jackson has been really bad his last couple of outings, though there will be a higher ERA sitting in the Brewers' dugout: Doug Davis is at a sturdy 8.13 after six starts. Weren't there people who were miffed we didn't re-sign him this off-season? Sadly, we miss the chance to tee of on our former player this season.
Lineups and stuff after the jump.
- Kelly Johnson 2B
- Stephen Drew SS
- Mark Reynolds 3B
- Adam LaRoche 1B
- Chris Young CF
- Gerardo Parra RF

Never mind beating Gallardo, we have yet to score off him: in two starts and 12 innings, we have managed eight hits and zero runs. Those outings were back in 2007, when Gallardo was a raw 21-year old, so I can't say I feel particularly confident about us doing much better with three years more experience under his belt.
Hence, it's probably a good night for me to be entirely out of action, since we're off to see Penn and Teller. I've swapped recaps with 'Skins - who apparently didn't realize who was pitching - and so will be doing Sunday's event, whenever I return from EdBigHeadFest. If we win tonight, it'll be a pleasant surprise, to be honest.
