Gameday Thread, #48: 5/27 vs. Rockies

Dan Haren
RHP, 5-3, 4.79

Jason Hammel
RHP, 1-3, 7.52

And so, we turn to Dan Haren in the hope of avoiding the sweep in Colorado. One does tend to feel we have the pitching edge in this one, given that we hit Hammel around pretty well when we faced him last month - five earned runs in only three innings of work. However, will we get BadHaren or MediocreHaren this afternoon? [I've pretty much given up expecting GoodHaren for the moment, since he hasn't given us a quality start in three weeks]

Line-up and details after the jump

  1. Kelly Johnson, 2B .257
  2. Gerardo Parra, LF .247
  3. Stephen Drew, SS .299
  4. Justin Upton, RF .269
  5. Adam LaRoche, 1B .283
  6. Mark Reynolds, 3B .231
  7. Chris Young, CF .298
  8. Chris Snyder, C .224
  9. Dan Haren, P .414

It seems like a long while since I've last done a recap. It also seems like a long while since the Diamondbacks last won a game. The two things actually coincide, with the previous occasion being Saturday for both, so we'll see if a change of recapper provokes a change in D-backs fortunes. The recap will probably be a bit late, since the end of the game will likely fall just as I am scheduled to go out among the masses for a couple of hours, providing guidance and succor. Or, more likely, sarcastic comments. So, no recap during the lunch-break. I'll get it done after I get home tonight, and I've already scheduled What's Up With...? Stephen Drew for later.
