Gameday Thread, #47: 5/26 vs. Rockies

Rodrigo Lopez
RHP, 2-2, 4.42

Ubaldo Jimenez
RHP, 8-1, 0.99

The offensive outage suffered yesterday mean that, if the Diamondbacks want to win the series, the road to do so goes right through Ubaldo Jimenez and his sub-one ERA. Yeah, way to make it easy on yourself, Arizona. Jimenez has a line so far against him of .171/.263/.233. Yep, you read that right. Most pitchers would be happy with a BA against of .233. Ubaldo has a slugging percentage against of .233, having allowed exactly one home-run in his nine starts this year. Thus far, he's odds-on favorite to become the first ever Denver recipient of a Cy Young.

  1. Kelly Johnson, 2B .257
  2. Gerardo Parra, RF .247
  3. Conor Jackson, LF .250
  4. Stephen Drew, SS .299
  5. Adam LaRoche, 1B .283
  6. Mark Reynolds, 3B .231
  7. Chris Young, CF .298
  8. Chris Snyder, C .224
  9. Rodrigo Lopez, P .095

No Upton as his numbers against Jimenez are really bad - 0-for-15. So Parra gets a start, which I know will make at least one (former) member of the board happy! We're going out for dinner somewhere, so I don't know when I'll be back - I trust 'charmer to keep control of things in my absence, naturally. Let's just say, "We'll see what happens," and leave it at that, shall we? Azreous on the recap once again, so let's keep the recs rolling for anything which amuses or entertains.
