Couple of tidbits from DbacksInsider: our 8-for-11 w/ RISP last night tied the best mark in baseball this season, and was the team's second-best ever (we went 11-for-15 once in 1998). We are alse looking to score 8+ runs in 5 consecutive. games for only the second time in team history - the first was from May 29-June 5, 1999. I don't think it'll be easy, but we have the series in the bag - now is the time we need to step up our game and take out the opposition ace, for the second time in this home-stand.

Line-up and stuff after the jump.

  1. Conor Jackson LF
  2. Tony Abreu 2B
  3. Stephen Drew SS
  4. Justin Upton RF
  5. Adam LaRoche 1B
  6. Mark Reynolds 3B
  7. Chris Young CF
  8. Chris Snyder C
  9. Billy Buckner RHP

Make no mistake, Marcum is the ace of the Jays staff to date, and I go into this game expecting it to be a tough test o the winning streak. However, the Diamondbacks have upped almost all aspects of their game to date, and even with UberKelly on the bench for the day [rested in advance of the long road-trip], I'm hoping we can keep the streak of victories alive. I hope to be about, as I'm going to be writing up yesterday's ASU game, but I do also have to transfer all my stuff to a new 'puter [actually, SnakePit Jr's hand-me-down], so not sure how active I will be .

NOTE: By popular request, we are going to try a "Comment of the Day" award. It'll be given out by the recapper - which is kishi today - to what they feel was the most amusing, incisive, witty or informative comment of the day. It will be selected from those which have turned green i.e. been "recommended" by three or more people. For this to work, we need you to hit the 'Rec' button on comments you feel worthy. Let's see how this works...
