After a pretty dismal road-trip, where the Diamondbacks went 1-5, but should have at least broken even, it's back to the confines of Chase Field, but things do not exactly get an easier. On this homestand, we will be facing the reigning champions of both the NL East and the the NL Central. The Phillies will be showing up for the weekend, but first we have to get past the Cardinals. More details after the jump...

  1. Kelly Johnson 2B
  2. Stephen Drew SS
  3. Justin Upton RF
  4. Adam LaRoche 1B
  5. Mark Reynolds 3B
  6. Chris Young CF
  7. Gerardo Parra LF
  8. Chris Snyder C
  9. Rodrigo Lopez RHP

With Jackson having goneon the DL, according to Jack Magruder (Esmerling Vasquez returns to the roster). Parra takes over in left, with Johnson moving up to leadoff. Maybe our best hope is that the Cardinals bullpen will still be shattered after the 20-inning defeat to the Mets on Saturday. Unfortunately, they got a day off on Sunday, because Adam Wainwright threw a complete-game, so not too much hope there. Here's to Rodrigo Lopez following suit...

Not going to be about, as Mrs. Snakepit got me a couple of really nice seats for tonight's game behind the dugout on the first-base side - so keep an eye out for us. A few days ago, I nudged wailord, as he had expressed interest in doing a recap. He accepted. However, this was, obviously, before EelGate over the weekend, so I must confess to having some second throughts... But I trust lessons have been learned, and the gameday thread and recap will thus be uncontaminated by creatures of the superorder Elopomorpha. Failing that, I trust the mods will call in the appropriate air-strike.

Will be back after the game, and hope to have some cool pics to post from it, but if someone could please do the needful on wailord's recap e.g. fangraph, rollcall and front-page promotion.
