Week 2 Results

Baked 5, AZ SnakePit 5
Nothing could separate these two. Snake had three homers each from Cruz, Jeter and Ethier, and batted .324 with 40 RBI for the week, but Baked's pitching was up to the task. They posted a collective ERA of 2.65, with two saves apiece for Rauch and Soria.

Shoryukens! 0, The Fighting Amish 9
Amish finished one W short of completing the first sweep of the 2010 season, otherwise dominating Shoryu, though took HR by one and RBI by two. Amish hit .319, with two HR and seven RBI from Uggla, while Soriano picked up three saves for them on the mound.

7-2 Offsuiters 3, Blonde Streaks 7
Blonde's hurlers posted a 1.40 ERA for the week, but it was their hitters that delivered, taking four of five categories to seal victory. Cano, Victorino and Morales each had multi-homer weeks for them; Braun homered twice and drove in eight, in a losing effort for 7-2.

Balco's Boys 4, Confederate Generals 5
Both teams were on the run, stealing eight bases apiece, and that tie gave the overall win to the Generals. Pierre had four for Balco's, McCutchen five for Generals. Utley (Balco) took hitter of the week honors with five HR, but Generals got six W's, behind Matusz's Win and 16 K's.

Moving on Uptons 5, Funny Team Name 4
Funny got four homers from Kemp and three from BJ Upton, but overall, fell to Upton's superior pitching. It was close: saves ended tied, while Uptons took K's and RBI by one. Garza delivered two crucial Wins and ten strikeouts for Uptons, and Heyward drove in seven for them.

Lady Gaga Regatta 4, Sofa King Juiced 5
Neither team hit much: Gaga's .253 BA was enough for victory there, but Sofa's better power proved decisive, Cuddyer producing two homers and nine RBI. Sabathia had a W and nine K's for Sofa, while Bell picked up a vulture win and a Save for Lady.

warlords 7, NiceCrispyBacon 3
war swept the pitching categories, piling up 52 strikeouts behind Pettitte, who had two Wins and 10 K's for the week; Yankee team-mate Rivera delivered three saves. Bacon fought back at the plate, where Choo had three homers and 11 RBI, bit it was too little, too late.

warlords at The Fighting Amish

warlords travel to The Fighting Amish for the Fox Television Game of the Week (with Mark Grace doing color commentary, no doubt). Amish completely dominated Shoryu in last week's round, and so far, and have been using pitching to take them to the table-top, led by Ubaldo 'no-hitter' Jimenez, who is 3-0 with a 1.29 ERA. warlords, however, have been going deep: six starters have five or more homers, with David Wright's six HR and 17 RBI their top hitter. Should make for an interesting contest.
