Diamondbacks acquire Zach Duke from the Pirates

It was just announced that the DBacks have picked up LHP Zach Duke from the Pirates for a player-to-be-named-later. Duke was DFA'd by Pittsburgh last week after a fairly disappointing 2010 season- a 5.72 ERA was the highest of any NL starter with 150 or more innings, according to NBC Sports. It was his worst year since coming up to the majors in 2005, so obviously the team is looking for a rebound from him.

Duke made $4.3 million last year, and the Pirates tried to negotiate a deal with him before they DFA'd him, so obviously there were some different opinions on what Duke was worth there.
