Week 22 Results
AZ SnakePit 7, 7-2 Offsuiters 1
SnakePit finished strong, sending 7-2 to their heaviest defeat of the year, thanks to Swisher's three HR and seven RBI. 7-2 still easily make the playoffs and get a bye this week, but no victories in the final three rounds is a worrying sign for them, despite two Wins for De La Rosa.
Blonde Streaks 4, Wimboes Barmy Army 5
Blonde squeaked into the post-season, despite going down to Army. Blonde got a Win and 15 K's from Hamels, while Army countered with Wolf's W and 12 K's. While neither side did much offensively, Inge (two HR, six RBI) proved the deciding factor in the Army's win.
GregSchulteOverdrive 4, Arizona Muugens 4
Like Blonde, Muugens have had a much better time this year, and vault from 14th to fifth and will see playoff competition. Their pitching was strong, led by Pettitte (two Wins and 11 strikeouts), though Greg countered at the plate where Davis had six Runs and two SB.
Balco's Boys 5, Captain Douchebag 5
One more point and Balco's would have stolen a first-place bye from 7-2: a couple more homers would have done it. One the other hand they took runs by one, and BA by .001! Floyd had a Win and 15 strikeouts for them, while Hamilton (Captain) was the only player to homer twice.
warlords 7, Desert Dingleberries 1
war gained some respectablity with a crushing win over Desert, though the latter will still be involved in the consolation playoffs. Posada (three HR, eight RBI) led war in the hitting categories, where they were one SB from a sweep, and Sanchez struck out 17 in their cause too.
The Fighting Amish 7, Moving on Uptons 3
With the win, Amish moved into the #1 spot, a moral victory as the team prepares to try and go further than the third-place finish they managed in last year's competition. Lind (three HR, 12 RBI) and Harden (Win, 19 K) were their stars this week, beating Stewart's three HR for Uptons.
Shoryukens! 4, Kapsaicin Kids 6
Despite the result, Kids fell just short of the main playoffs and Shoryu clinched fourth. Kids hit .328 for the week, with Lee swatting four homers. However, Shoryu had a team ERA of just 2.03, and got four saves from Heath Bell. Nine K's for Johnson gave Kids overall victory.
Confederate Generals 2, Baked 7
Generals hope of success in the main playoffs died as Baked pounded them on the mound, behind Player of the Week Lester (two Wins, 17 K). Broxton's three saves, an overall 2.07 ERA and Longoria (three HR, 10 RBI) were also important, though Jackson got two W for the Generals.

Playoffs Week 1
Championship Tournament
Blonde Streaks (#6 seed) vs. Balco's Boys (#3)
Arizona Muugens (#5) vs. Shoryukens! (#4)
Consolation Tournament
AZ SnakePit (#9) vs. Moving on Uptons (#12)
Desert Dingleberries (#10) vs. Baked (#11)
We head into the first week of the post-season. The top six teams go into the championship tournament, with #1 and #2 getting to sit this round out. The next four face off: the losers go home, and the winners then go on to face the top two in next week's contests. The victorious sides there will go on to the final - which I believe lasts only one week, unlike last year. Meanwhile, #7-12 in the final standings are decided in a similar three-round playoff format, between the teams who occupied those slots at the end of the regular season. Obviously, there can be no ties: in the event of a game ending level, lowest team ERA will be the first category used as a tie-breaker, then BA.
