Week 21 Results

AZ SnakePit 3, Wimboes Barmy Army 7
Army moved off the bottom spot, though neither team had great pitching, with ERAs of 5.59 and 5.45 respectively. Verlander had two W and 13 strikeouts for SnakePit, but Papelbon's three Saves and seven strikeouts gave both categories to Army; Uggla scored six runs too.

Blonde Streaks 8, Arizona Muugens 2
Blonde now have a playoff spot to lose, following a crucial win over fellow-conteders Muugens. They have a huge debt to Morales (three HR, 11 RBI) and Podsednik (three SB), who allowed them to sweep hitting. Muugens got 14 K from Halladay, but Rodney's three Sv sealed Blonde's victory.

GregSchulteOverdrive 7, Captain Douchebag 3
Purely for self-respect this contest, neither team having any hopes of extending their season. Schule had Player of the Week Ryan Howard (five HR, 12 RBI), using him and Cano (two HR, eight RBI) to take all five points at the plate. Captain got a W and 12 K's from Lackey in a losing cause.

Balco's Boys 4, Baked 4
Balco's locked up post-season play, with only the seeding left to determine. Utley (Balco) and McCutcheon (Baked) each got three homers. Teixiera (Balco's) drove in eight, while Kershaw struck out 17 for Baked - Wilson + Broxton saved a pair for their respective teams. A draw seems fair.

7-2 Offsuiters 3, Desert Dingleberries 5
Almost a formality, 7-2 continued in first, though will need to improve on this performance in the playoffs. They did get three home-runs each from Fielder and Lopez, but their pitching allowed two many runs. Desert got seven RBI from Cabrera, while Jeter scored seven, on the way to victory.

warlords 7, Moving on Uptons 2
war ended the hopes of Uptons with this emphatic win. Bay homered twice, Ramirez drove in eight, while on the mound, Baker had a Win plus 11 strikeouts and they had a collective 1.93 ERA. Cain fanned a dozen for Uptons, but their season will end after next week.

The Fighting Amish 4, Kapsaicin Kids 5
Kids cling to a slim playoff chance, but need an emphatic victory in the final round to progress after a narrow victory over #2 Amish, who sealed their spot. Wainwright won twice for Kids, Holliday and Rollins homered twice, while for Amish Blanton had a W + 14 K's and Franklin saved three.

Shoryukens! 4, Confederate Generals 5
Shoryu are 4th: it'd take a complete meltdown to lose out, but the Generals are seventh, 1.5 out of the post-season with one round to go. Peña (Shoru) and Kemp (Generals) each had three HR; Greinke (two W + 20 K) got the Generals victory, despite three saves for Shoryu by Aardsma.

Shoryukens! vs. Kapsaicin Kids is the MLB Network Game of the Week, between two teams who still might be seeing post-season action, but have yet to lock it own. Shoryu have the inside-track there, needing just two points to guarantee themselves a spot in the playoffs; they'lll be looking to sluggers Reynolds and Peña to secure those. The Kids need to win, win big, and hope the teams ahead of them stumble too. They will be looking to 16-game winner Wainwright and 87 RBI man Lee to do it.
