Week 17 Results

AZ SnakePit 6, GregSchulteOverdrive 3
A late surge propelled SnakePit to victory, three HR from Swisher and nine RBI by Hill standing out, along with a Win and 14 K's by Billingsley. Isturis scored eight Runs for Greg, but neither team hit well for average, both ending below .250 for the week's games.

Blonde Streaks 6, Baked 4
Two wins, 23 K's and a zero ERA for Lincecum (Blonde) gave him Player of the Week Honors; backed by Beckett (two W + 15 K) and Morales (five HR, 13 RBI), it allowed Blonde to take the win. Baked got three HR - in one game no less - from McCutcheon.

Balco's Boys 5, Desert Dingleberries 5
Desert took BA by the smallest margin possible, just .001, and secured a tie - Granderson homered three times for them, while Ellsbury (Balco's) scored 12 Runs. Closers named Wilson were prominent on the mound: Balco's got a W and two Sv, while Desert's got three Sv.

Captain Douchebag 4, Moving on Uptons 5
Captain gave playoff contenders Uptons a fright, but came up one Save short. Zimmerman and Lee each homered three times for Uptons, Zimmerman driving in eight runs, while Youkilis had a nine R, seven RBI week for Captain. Uptons had a 2.59 team ERA.

Arizona Muugens 5.Kapsaicin Kids 5
No way to split these two: Willingham had a three HR, 11 RBI week for Muugens, while Holliday homered three times for Kids. Kids also got three Saves from Bailey, but Muugens posted a lower WHIP and ERA on the week, and a tie seems the fairest result.

Wimboes Barmy Army 5, Confederate Generals 3
Wins and Saves ended level, but the Army swept the other pitching categories, with Nolasco's 13 K's and 1.93 ERA their stand-out performance. Generals had the edge at the plate (Soriano: two HR, seven RBI), but Jones (four HR, 10 RBI) kept Army ahead.

7-2 Offsuiters 6, Shoryukens! 2
Leaders 7-2 saw off third-placed Shoryu, and have lost once in twelve weeks. They hit .365 this round, with Lopez (three HR, eight RBI) outstanding. Shoryu got four HR from Reynolds, but lost heavily on the mound. 7-2 had three Sv from Soria + Nathan; Romero had two W.

warlords 3, The Fighting Amish 7
Bit of a slugfest here, the teams combining for 91 RBI, both hit above .300 - Abreu scored + drove in eight for Amish, while Ramirez (7 R, 8 RBI) almost matched him for war. Amish pulled away in pitching, where Carpenter had two Wins and they had an overall ERA of 2.06.

Captain Douchebag vs. Desert Dingleberries
Arizona Muugens vs. Moving on Uptons
Wimboes Barmy Army vs. Kapsaicin Kids
7-2 Offsuiters vs. Confederate Generals

The Fighting Amish vs. Baked

To my infinite surprise, AZ SnakePit vs. Balco's Boys is the Game of the Week on the MLB Network. SnakePit have done well of late, being undefeated in the past four rounds, going 3-0-1, while Balco's haven't won over the previous three, being 0-1-2, and will be without the DL'd Wakefield. However, Teixeira and Utley still provide a formidable punch in the heart of their order. Hill powers SnakePit's offense, while they have three pitchers with double-digit wins, led by Verlander's dozen.
