Last hurrah for New York and Arizona this season, and the series has gone a great deal better for the Diamondbacks than most previous series against the Mets. We enter the final game with victory already in the bag, and Jon Garland has a chance to give us a sweep - a win here, would also give the Diamondbacks a better overall record than the $150m Mets. Yeah, and you thought our season was bad...
Garland was imperial the last time he faced the Mets, on the 2nd of this month, pitching a complete game and allowing only two runs as he took the win. Perez didn't suck, continuing a no-decision trend for the Mets starters in this series, allowing two earned runs in five innings. However, he did walk five batters, and we should really have done a great deal more against him. Hopefully, we can make up for that today: taking six of seven from the Mets would be highly satisfactory.

Trivia note. Four of our position players - Snyder, Reynolds, Parra and Ryal - all got a hit in their first major-league at-bat. Wonder if that's some kind of record. Obviously, with it being a day-game, won't be about for much, but I'll pop in around lunchtime.
