With the top two teams going down heavily, the pack had a good chance to close up on the leaders, and a number took advantage to do just that. Here's the quick results: details, standings and a look at week 19, after the jump.
AZ SnakePit 1, Balco's Boys 8
Blonde Streaks 5, GregSchulteOverdrive 5
Captain Douchebag 4, Desert Dingleberries 6
Arizona Muugens 7, Moving on Uptons 3
Wimboes Barmy Army 2, Kapsaicin Kids 8
7-2 Offsuiters 2, Confederate Generals 8
warlords 3, Shoryukens! 7
The Fighting Amish 2, Baked 6
AZ SnakePit 1, Balco's Boys 8
Maybe not quite as one-sided as it seems: Balco's took W + HR by one, and RBI by two. But a team ERA of 1.77 for the week - even though they only struck out eleven - was enough to drive Balco's to victory: Floyd had a W + 6 K, while Teixeira homered three times too.
Blonde Streaks 5, GregSchulteOverdrive 5
Greg his .358 on the week, but their pitching (ERA 7.92) let them down badly, allowing Blonde to force a tie. Blalock had three HR for Greg, but Blonde got four homers from Suzuki, while Rodney vultured a Win along with two saves. Lannan had a W + 6 K for Greg.
Captain Douchebag 4, Desert Dingleberries 6
Despite seven RBI and four SB from Crawford for Captain, 10 RBI for Branyan and nine for Cabrera gave Desert the edge at the plate. They followed it up with similarly-narrow victory on the mound, thanks to Harang; he got the week's only Win for either team, along with 17 K's.
Arizona Muugens 7, Moving on Uptons 3
The Muugens swept pitching, getting a Win and 10 strikeouts each from Happ and Pettitte, overshadowing the 12 K's from Cain for Uptons. While they also got 10 R and four HR from Zimmerman to make a game of it, Mauer (two HR, seven RBI) brought Muugens home.
Wimboes Barmy Army 2, Kapsaicin Kids 8
Kids bludgeoned their way to a win, hitting only .239 but hitting a dozen homers, led by Rollins' two HR and five RBI, numbers matched by Army's Fukudome. A Win + 15 K's for Johnson (Kids) was the best pitching performance; Bailey (Kids) and Rivera (Army) each saved two.
7-2 Offsuiters 2, Confederate Generals 8
Leaders 7-2 crashed to their worst defeat of the year; the Generals got four HR and nine RBI from Dunn, and scored 50 strikeouts, with 14 K's + a W from Greinke. Hitting .348 collectively, with 12 HR, the Generals were near-unstoppable - Braun also drove in nine runs for them.
warlords 3, Shoryukens! 7
Shoryu took all five hitting categories, though war did give the score respectabily on the mound, thanks to Vasquez (two W, 13 K). Otherwise, it was all Shoryu: Reynolds is Player of the Week for six HR, driving in ten, while Ramirez and Suzuki each scored seven with five RBI.
The Fighting Amish 2, Baked 6
Baked eased their way to victory, with Longoria's three homers, the 17 strikeouts from Lester and 16 by Kershaw the highlights off their roster. Santana gave the Amish a Win and ten strikeouts, and both teams had good ERAs (3.35 + 3.24). W and SB categories ended level.

The Fighting Amish vs. Shoryukens!
The Fighting Amish vs. Shoryukens! is the MLB Network game of the week. Amish were staggered by a bad loss against Baked, and what looked likely to be a coast to a first-week playoff bye is no longer a sure-thing. They need Adrian Gonzalez - only five HR since June 24 - to get back to wielding the big stick, though Santana and Carpenter have combined for 24 Wins. Shoryu will be hoping Reynolds maintains his incendiary pace at the plate, while Sabathia and Lowe anchor their rotation.
