The Diamondbacks head out of their time-zone for the first time this season - which is by way of an explanation why this is going up a little closer to first pitch than is usual! It's off to visit Milwaukee, not exactly a happy hunting ground for Arizona of late: as noted in the preview comments, the last time we won a series there was 2003, since when we've gone 4-12 in the City of Light (Beer). Max Scherzer makes another attempt to get his first win in the majors, and we'll see if the eleventh time is the charm for Max
Certainly, opposing pitcher Jeff Suppan has been strikingly mediocre this far. He has been good of late, with a couple of quality starts, but at the beginning of the season, the Cubs and Giants slapped him around for eleven earned runs in 7.2 innings. And if San Francisco are swatting you about, that's not exactly a good sign. Hopefully, the Diamondbacks, fresh off posting a ten-spot on the Cubs [ok, more like "fresh off trotting in from third thanks to a walk", but that's splitting hairs...], will find Suppan just as much to their taste.
