Good morning, folks! I trust you slept well and are, like me, up bright and early, ready to cheer on our Diamondbacks to another victory. Ok: who am I kidding? This post is brought to you courtesy of the wonderful 'scheduled post' facility in SBNation 2.0; I am appearing to you in virtual form this morning, while me real self catches up on some much needed Z's, before we head to The Sets for what seems like the sixth day in a row. But it really is only the fifth day in six. I may or may not be about for this game, depending on when consciousness returns.
However, Doug Davis will be taking the mound and trying to send us to three victories in a row, which would be a welcome change from recent events. He got a no-decision last time out, and was somewhat the victim of his defense, which got him tagged with two unearned runs, But, the song remains the same: can our offense get their act together? I've been demanding a dozen hits, but even nine would be an improvement over the past couple of weeks. But as long as we win, I don't care if we do so on a hit batter, a passed ball and a couple of groundouts.
