Snake got two relief wins from Bell, while 12 K's from Verlander also proved crucial in a tight contest. RBI were level at 18 - Howard had half of Shen's total, and Milledge stole five bases. In a low-scoring game,. Phillips' 2 HR gave Snake a vital edge.
Douchebaggery 8, Kapsaicin Kids 2
Douche got their biggest win of the year, running wild thanks to Ellsbury (8 SB) and a sweep of pitching, where they had a 2.20 ERA and Vazquez fanned 12. Kids got eight runs and two homers from Wright, but these were their only successes.
dbacktom 5, Crazy VIII's 5
tom and VIII ended level, the latter swinging the bats and the former doing best in pitching. Gonzalez [VIII] had six runs and seven RBIs, while Colon had two Wins and nine K's for tom. Bergmann had 16 K's in a losing cause on VIII's side, while Bartlett (tom) stole four bases.
The Fighting Amish 3, Adriano Rosario's 6
Despite a plethora of closers, Amish were saveless on the week, but got two Wins and 13 K's from Santana. However, Adriano hit back with two Wins and 16 K's by Kazmir, and four saves by Wood, while Hamlton (8 R, 3 HR, 10 RBI) powered them to victory at the plate too.
Tucson Myth 6, 7-2 Offsuiters 3
Or, Chase Utley vs. 7-2, as Myth's 2B scored nine runs, five homers, 14 RBI and stole two bags. Unsurprisingly, Myth swept hitting and held on in pitching for a stunning victory over the league leaders. Garza had a W + 10 K's for them; 7-2 got 9 K's from Snell and two saves by Wilson.
last place 2, Blonde Streaks 8
Blonde had their best week to date, piling up 12 homers [three each by Hudson and Spliborghs] and hitting .333 for the week, plus getting a W and 12 K's from Haren on the mound. Last did get four SB from A-Rod, and won three games, but otherwise went down to a rough defeat.
warlords 9, Wimboes Barmy Army 0
It was, however, not as rough as this, where war surged to the top, falling one W short of the first clean-sweep since the opening week. Reyes had a 10 R, 3 HR, 3 SB week, Ramirez had 3 HR and 8 RBI, while Halladay had a W and 9 K. Reynolds homered three times for Wimboes.
GregSchulteOverdrive 6, Arizona Muugens 3
Muugens piled up 54 K's, behind 16 from Webb, but batted only .245 and scored just one point in hitting. Greg dominated there, getting multi-homer weeks from four players, and added two wins and ten K's by Moyer; Cordero added a crucial win and the week's only save in their cause.
Ignatius J. Rallies 7, Desert Storm BC 2
Rallies took all the pitching, with a W and three Saves by Torres, and 12 K's from Hernandez. The hitting points were evenly split: Teixeira had three homers and 13 RBI for Rallies, and Sizemore had 3 HR too, but Storm also got three homers from their 1B, Pujols.
Desert Dingleberries 8, SHUperMen 2
Desert dominated almost across the board, with three homers by Beltre, plus 12 Runs and 4 SB from Victorino. On the mound, they got 18 K's by Burnett, but Sheets W and 11 K's helped give SHU one of their two points. Franlklin had three saves for Desert.
