O young Hochevar is come into the west,
Throughout Kansas City, his pitch was the best;
And save a good curveball he weapons had none,
He rode all unarm'd, and he rode all alone.
So decent at home, and so hopeless at Chase,
There never was knight like the young Royals ace.
With many, many apologies to Sir Walter Scott
We're off to The Sets so will be late arriving at this one: tonight is the Pharos world music, drumming and bellydance extravaganza, which should be fun. Let's hope the Kansas starter lives up to the penultimate line of my doggerel, and we manage to score, oh, more than zero runs in the first nine innings. Dodgers are four runs down in the bottom of the seventh - Penny got torched once more - and if that holds up, then a win tonight will put us 6.5 clear, a margin not seen since back in April. Randy Johnson certainly deserves something other than a rampant no-decision, that's for sure.
