Well, with all the excitement last night, I quite forgot about the Fantasy Baseball, which entered the first round of the playoffs this week. All four games were very close, with no more than two points separating the team in any case, and with one going down to a tie-breaker. So, here we go...
dbacktom 5 The Fighting Amish 4 #6 seeds tom shocked #3 seeds Amish, sneaking through as a result of a tie in RBI at 36: Ordonez, Ibanez and Winn all drove in six each for tom, while Gordon and Crisp has seven for Amish. tom batted .330 overall, and got four saves from Valverde, while Sabathia had two wins for Amish and Harang got 13 K's.
Bob Melvin Sucks 4, Kapsaicin Kids 4 The televised game was one of the year's best, the two sides slugging it out to the final pitch of the week. Kids had a hitting edge, with Jones have a three HR, nine run week, but SB ended tied at two, and BA at .261. That allowed Bob to roar back on the mound, with Shields getting two wins and 11 K's. Bob's ERA of 3.83 was enough to give them the tie-breaker, and move on to the semi-finals.
CoJack Forever 4, Douchebaggery 5 In the consolation tournament, Douche were pushed all the way by CoJack, and it took a tie in HR (seven each) to give Douche their edge. Byrnes (Douche) scored nine and swiped five, while Upton (CoJack) drove in six and stole two. Beckett also had two wins and 15 K's for Cojack, but Papelbon's four saves gave that to Douche.
GregSchulteOverdrive 4, Desert Dingleberries 6 Desert scored at will, racking up 54 runs and 15 homers: Peña and Beltre combined for 14 runs, seven HR and 20 RBI; Posada homered three times for Greg. They also fought back on the mound, Zambrano getting a homer and 14 K's, but neither side had an ERA below five, though both batted better than .315.

dbacktom vs. 4 K's 4 Gonzo is the game of the week. tom pulled off the biggest upset of the first-round, moving past Amish, and now have their sights set on an ever bigger prey, #2 seeds Gonzo. Things have started well for tom, getting two wins on Monday, courtesy of Ted Lilly and Boof Bonser, while Hennessey blown save hurt Gonzo, much as it may have cheered Arizona fans. They did get the only homer to date, Mike Jacobs going deep for them. Still more than enough time for either side to make the game their own.
