"The way it's gone of late, as many close games as we've played and as the games with the Cardinals would suggest, as long as we still have at-bats left we still have a chance," D-backs' manager Bob Melvin said. "Until the final out, we have a chance."

That's BoMel in the AP recap this morning. Good quote, and very indicative of our season. We've played so many one- and two-run games, we're never out of it. These youngsters always feel they can contribute, that they can be the hero, and then they go out and do it! Salazar with his bum ankle and all. What a team we've got here.

Anyway, that's the AP recap; rather action-oriented. The Republic recap is a nice article, talking about the comeback win, how we've won the past six games, and the start from Bonifacio. MLB.com is a nice review of mainly the 9th inning, including quotes from Salazar, BoMel, and Rich Aurillia.

Notes from MLB.com today discuss Hudson's surgery, Bonifacio's start and Tracy's progress. It also notes that Jackson and Clark will split more time at 1B depending on match-ups. Speaking of Clark, Piecoro reports that he tweaked his swing slightly. Let's hope it helps, because as nice as home run power is, he's inconsistent, and sometimes just a base hit is needed to get or continue a rally. Also, BoMel was non-committal when asked about Owings's next start, seemingly relying on how well EdGon pitches tonight before making that decision.

Two nice mentions today: Webb seems to be a favorite for the NL CY Young, and our own CY, Chris Young, is a 'dark horse' for NL Rookie of the Year.

Tonight's game is E. Gonzalez vs K. Correia, 7:15pm start time. You're on your own in the gameday thread tonight fellas, 'cause I'll be at the game!! :-D I get very excited about this. I only get to see them 5 or 6 games a year, and I've got what look to be great seats tonight. I'll take lots of pictures and bring back what I can in terms of a scouting report. :)
