Results

AZ SnakePit 0, Kapsaicin Kids 8 The loss of Sheets may have wrecked SnakePit irreperably, and they slumped to another big loss. Ties in RBI and Wins were their only success, though Berkman hit 3 HR. Johnson drove in seven for Kids, who also got four saves from Nathan, and nine K's from Escobar and Hernandez 1.0.

dbacktom 8, warlords 1 tom delivered a well-balanced performance, taking four points in both hitting and pitching; warlords took saves, and grabbed a tie in homers, with Guerrero's four for them, countering three by Abreu for tom. 4 K's 4 Gonzo 7, The Don Quixotes 3 This was close through hitting, with Gonzo holding only a one-point lead: Thomas (Gonzo) drove in seven, and Cabrera (Don) nine. However, Gonzo dominated pitching, with Haren (W, 9 K) and Accardo (three saves) being enough to overcome Hamels W and 13 K for Don.

The battle between dbacktom and the Kapsaicin Kids will be the ESPN game. Both teams are coming off eight-point wins, and currently occupy playoff spots. Kids are perhaps the hottest team around, with a five-week winning streak and a 35-9-6 record in that time. It's pitching that's got them there: closers Rivera and Nathan have thrown 23.2 innings combined in the last month, with a 0.70 ERA, and Hernandez 1.0, Lincecum and Escobar have also been outstanding of late. dbacktom have Pujols anchoring their offense, with 8 HR, 22 RBI and a .348 average this month, but Abrey, Ramirez and Ordonez all have driven in 20 or more.
