With us being three days into the week already, seems a little pointless rehashing ancient history (a.k.a. last week's results) in depth. But if any participants would care to add their own brief summary of their own contest in the comments, that might be fun. :-)

Kapsaicin Kids face 4 K's 4 Gonzo in the televised game of the week, which we join already under way. :-) In the first two days, Kids have taken an early lead, piling up two wins and 20 K's, with Escobar's seven-strikeout outing their best to date. However, Haren had a Win and nine K's for Gonzo, and Thomas's two homers have also given them the lead in that category. Johjima has four RBI's for Kids, who are also batting .338 at this point.
A note on the playoff format, in case anyone is unclear: I don't want any complaints about not understanding it. :-) There is one week left following this one in the regular season. The top six teams after that point will move on into the playoffs: it's impressive to note that, at this point, seventeen teams could still conceivably make it. Though some are more likely than others. ;-) #4 will play #5, and #3 plays #6 in the first round; the top two teams get byes, but face the winners of the first-round matchups the following week. The final takes place over two weeks, from September 17-30, with the overall victor being crowned champion, in the footsteps of the 2006 winners, BBTNG.
