AZ SnakePit 4, Webby17 5 Neither team managed a save, and SnakePit struggled on the mound, five pitchers posting double-figure ERAs, but they still took K's. Weaver got the sole win, for Webby, and added 8 K's. Figgins drove in seven runs for them and stole four bases, while Young had six RBI for Snake.
dbacktom 5, Kapsaicin Kids 4 A close content went to tom, after Saves ended level at 2. Ibanez had five HR and 11 RBI for them, with Ordonez adding four homers and 10 RBI, as they hit .348. But Lincecum's 16 K's spurred Kids comeback on the mound, though in the end, they fell one win, save or stolen base short.
The Fighting Amish 3, warlords 6 Hitting was fairly even, war having the slimmest of edges, thanks to Tejada's 10 RBI - both teams hit better than .300. While Harang (Amish) has the only win, war took K's by two and WHIP by 0.01 to get the decisive points. Cordero had two saves and a zero ERA for them.
4 K's 4 Gonzo 3, Shenanigans 5 Shen pulled away in pitching, where Moyer had two wins and nine K's; Jones had three saves, but Gonzo had five from three different pitchers. Bob Melvin Sucks 4, Douchebaggery 5 Douche took an early lead, with only a split of SB preventing them from sweeping hitting - Bonds hit three HR and drove in six. But they fell apart on the mound, and only Papelbon's two saves prevented Bob from coming back: Shields had a W and 9 K's to spearhead the charge.
BBTNG 4, Chupacabras 5 The fourth game this week with the same score, saw five homers for Giles (BBTNG). But Chupa got nine RBI through Sanchez, and Arroyo's W and 10 K proved crucial. Clemens had a W and 6 K's for BBTNG, but with Wins ending level at two, they just ran out of categories in the end.
Tucson Myth 6, Desert Dingleberries 4 Desert put Wright on the trading block, as he homered three times and drove in seven. However, Wells and Willingham each has eight RBI for Myth, and they took BA by 0.001. Rodriguez had 13 K's for Desert, but Robertson a W plus 15 K's on Myth's staff, and Cordero had three saves.
7-2 Offsuiters 8, GregSchulteOverdrive 2 A good week for 7-2, Lopez and Howard posting three HR and seven RBI apiece. CoJack Forever 3, Baked 6 Baked swept hitting: Tulowitzki was the man of the match, with seven runs, 3 HR and 12 RBI, while Jackson homered twice and drove in six. Crazy VIII's face Shenanigans, in the game of the week, both teams looking to solidify their playoff spots [some region will see Kapsaicin Kids vs. The Fighting Amish, depending on local blackouts... :-)] VIII have been strong the past two weeks, going 16-3-1, with Cy Young contender Jake Peavy anchoring their rotation. Alex Rodriguez's MVP caliber season provides ferocious offense, but don't forget Griffey, with 27 homers. Shenanigans have the other half of the Padres 1-2 punch, in Chris Young, whose return from the DL was a huge relief to Shen. Their strength is in scoring runs, where only Bob Melvin Sucks have a better record to date.
