Gameday Thread, #103: 7/25 vs. Marlins

New, comments

Or Cy Young vs. Sing Sing, as this one might be called. Expect some creative heckling at Chase tonight, with an opposing pitcher who spent last Saturday getting himself drunk, arrested and Tasered by the cops. That should give us plenty of material for tonight's comments thread. Of course, we also have AZ going for their fifth win in a row, and with our ace on the mound, I'm feeling good about our chances. San Diego are about to lose against Colorado, and the Dodgers are down (albeit only by one) in Houston, so a win could really boost our changes.

Likely the same structure as last night for me i.e. won't be around early on, but should hopefully find somewhere to watch the game, and so will be keeping informed, and back in time for the later innings. Hopefully, just like last night, we'll have things well in control. Be nice to end the night half a game back in the wild-card, and 1.5 behind the division leaders, but we'll have to see what happens. Tonight's question is whether Selig is right to to be in attendance when Bonds cracks the HR record. An interesting topic...

Should Selig be there when Bonds breaks the record?

No, it legitimizes Bonds and his questionable 'achievements'

Yes, it's still a historic milestone and the commissioner should be above such things.
