Gameday Thread, #57: 6/2 vs. Mets

Livan Hernandez, RHP (5-2, 3.58)
Jorge Sosa, RHP (4-1, 3.64)

My, that was exciting. No, not last night's game - well, not really - more the final five hours of 24, which we got sucked into last night, and watched in a marathon session. Thank heavens for Tivo, so it only took about 3 1/2 hours. Anyway, that's why there is, as yet, no post-game update or report: I did get up before eight a.m. this morning, with very good intentions in this area, but then saw Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest was on TV, and that, basically, was that. :-) It'll be up, likely during the game - a Saturday afternoon, East coast start means first pitch is just after 10am, Arizona time.

The D-backs continue to roll, with an eight-game winning streak that's our best since 2003, and we're still tied with the Dodgers atop the NL West. Livan Hernandez will be looking to extend that streak, and had success against the Mets last time out. Wouldn't be sorry if Beltran and Wright sat this one out as well, but I suspect we won't be so lucky. With a winning road-trip already in the bag, my expectations are already surpassed, but it'd certainly be nice to keep the pressure on our NL West rivals. Should be around for most of this one...writing up yesterday's game, at the very least!
