Another deadline deal, but we finally came to terms with our first-round pick, according to the Republic:

The Diamondbacks got a deal done with last year's first round pick, right-hander Max Scherzer, agreeing to terms in the final hour before Wednesday night's deadline. The parameters of the deal were not immediately available, but it's believed to be a major-league deal worth at least $4 million.
