Well, fresh off using the "ban" button for the second time in this blog's history, it appears that someone else apart from AzPhan had a bad day. According to the Republic, Alberto Callaspo was arrested by police at his home in Phoenix, on suspicion of assaulting his wife and criminal damage:

Callaspo, 24, was booked into Maricopa County's Fourth Avenue Jail on one count of assault, a Class 1 misdemeanor, and one count of criminal damage, a Class 6 felony, Detective Stacie Derge said. Diamondbacks President Derrick Hall said Callaspo will not join the team in Houston, where it begins a nine-game road trip tonight. Derge said officers responded Thursday afternoon to a call to Callaspo's residence at the Legacy Golf Resort, near the intersection of 32nd Street and Baseline Road. Callaspo's wife, Marianny Paola, 22, had minor injuries, Derge said.

The Diamondbacks took immediate action, prohibiting Callaspo from making the road trip, although no announcement was made on how the club will proceed. Callaspo could be optioned to Triple-A Tucson, suspended or put on the restricted list. "We do not feel that he should be with the team due to the allegations," Hall said. "We understand he has rights, and we respect those rights, but we obviously do not condone the behavior he has been accused of. We need this time to gather our facts and determine what exactly took place and what further action is needed, if any."

Looks like I'll have something to write about tomorrow after all. :-S
