Fascinating study in pitching styles tonight: Penny is from the "more and faster" school of pitching, while Hernandez throws banana pitches up there, which would be hard pushed to break stained glass. Penny has been, by a very long way, the best pitcher in the Dodgers' rotation, and I can't help wishing we'd laid a few of those hits, and a couple of runs, from last night aside, because we'll probably need them all.
Hernandez was fine last time out, at least, after giving up a three-run homer in the first inning. He has basically had one bad outing this year; and managing to have that in the spacious confines of Petco Park is almost worthy of applause. Dodger Stadium is another fairly pitcher-friendly venue, so we'll see how he goes this evening. Won't be around much as we're off to see Hot Fuzz tonight. I thus leave our winning streak in your capable hands, and look forward to coming home later on, and seeing it extended to seven games...
