Gameday Thread, #11: 4/13 vs. Rockies

Josh Fogg, RHP (0-0, 2.84)
Brandon Webb, RHP (1-0, 4.50)

Hope you enjoyed the off-day, and have returned, refreshed and rejuvenated, ready for another series. I had fun last night, but a full report on that (baseball-related, at least peripherally) activity will follow over the weekend. For the moment, we focus on a set against our divisional rivals, and the only people to have taken a series from us thus far, the Colorado Rockies. We send up Brandon Webb, whose second start was a marked improvement on his first, and much more like what we'd want to see from our ace. A few less walks would be welcome though.

The Rockies send up Mr.Fogg, so I anticipate a large number of weather-related puns this evening. For example, when he elevates his pitches, we can say, "the Fogg has lifted." I will, of course, be expecting much better than that from you. His first start went reasonably well, two earned runs in 6.1 innings, not that it's much to go on. We should see the return of Chris Young tonight, though I imagine many eyes will be turned to Tucson, where the Big Unit makes his next rehab start. Performance there will likely decide whether he returns on the 19th in San Diego, or has another turn for the Sidewinders.
