Results

AZ SnakePit 4, The Fighting Amish 6
SnakePit had the edge in hitting, hitting .317 with 8 SB's, but Amish fought back in pitching, where Rodriguez had four saves and a zero ERA. AZ took the latter category, with a 2.75 figure, but Rollins had seven runs and 9 RBIs for Amish, and they took both points, which proved the final margin of victory.
Man of the Match: Penny (Amish) - 2 W, 11 K, 0.86 WHIP

DFA'ders 4, GregSchulteOverdrive 5
In a rare feat, DeRosa won top player honors on the losing side. However, he did help his team to wins in R, HR and RBI, though Greg hit .359, with Lee's 10 runs and .484 average their best score. Though Greg's pitchers were winless, Sabathia's 10 K's helped them there, and Wagner's four saves gave them a crucial split in that category.
Man of the Match: DeRosa (DFA) - 8 R, 4 HR, 15 RBI, .433

Uk Dbacks 5, Browncoats 3
Runs and SB were tied, but UK took homers, with seven different players contributing, while Brown batted only .246 on the week. Tomko did have two victories for them, and Weaver had ten K's, taking it by a single strikeout, despite 12 K's for UK's Garcia. Borowski saved four games, but still fell to UK's closers, Nathan, Wickman and Ryan.

Man of the Match: Jenks (Byrnes) - W, 3 Sv, 6 K, 0.00 ERA

KarateMonkeyDeathCar 3, BigLebowski 7
Big moved up to tenth with a solid win, powered mostly by their arms, who took every scoring area except K's. Street had four saves for them, though Karate had none at all. However, Hernandez and Escobar each had a dozen or more K's. Karate did better in hitting, behind Hafner's 10 RBIs though Furcal's three stolen bases were enough for Big.
Man of the Match: Pettitte (Big) - W, 10 K, 0.57 WHIP

BBTNG 6, ?Chalino Sanchez! 4
This was a pitchers' duel, with the teams only hitting .230 and .243, though both had ERAs below four. Dunn + Iba?ez had matching lines for BBTNG, both scoring 2 HR and 6 RBI: Pujols scored 8 runs and Ramirez had 4 SB.
Man of the Match: Weaver (BBTNG) - 1 W, 11 K

7-2 Offsuiters 2, The Loose Seals 8
Loose moved into second place with the week's most convincing victory. They swept hitting, Andruw Jones joining A-Rod in hitting three homers, and took SB 11-1, with Reyes swiping four bags. 7-2 put up more of a fight in pitching, as the teams had a combined ERA below 2.70. Schmidt's win and 11 K's for Loose was the best performance, though Duke had a win and a 1.00 ERA for 7-2, who took WHIP by 0.09.

Byrnes vs. Greg is the TV selection, the former already qualified, the latter seeking to solidify their place. However, Byrnes have won seven straight matches, and have lost only one game this season, and that was by a single point to KarateMonkeyDeathCar. In contrast, Greg have been spotty: since the two sides last met, they have six wins, four losses and a tie. That previous meeting was in Week 8, and saw Byrnes win easily, 7-2, with Verlander winning two games and striking out 12. Greg are not assured of a playoff spot yet, and will be keen to ensure they get the highest seed possible. Remember, six teams qualify for the playoffs, so there's still time for the standings to change.
