Will the wind be heading out at Wrigley again this afternoon? If so, stand by for another SlamFest, especially given both pitchers have been spotty, to say the least. Vargas is the proverbial Forrest Gump box of chocolates, you never know what you'll get; while Hill has at least been consistent - just consistently sucky. However, he is a) a left-hander, b) we've not seen before, and from past experience that could mean trouble for Arizona. By all accounts. he was great in AAA, but hasn't yet had any success in the majors.
So, this has all the potential, breeze permitting, of being another offensive blow-out - literally. I'd take the over on runs, and hopefully AZ can come out on top at the end; we do have the advantage of a more-rested bullpen, and that could certainly be of significance. A win for us, and a Padres loss, would send Arizona back into a tie at the top of the NL West. Won't be here for the game, however, since it's IZW wrestling tonight, so I'll post the lineups and will then depart.
