AZ SnakePit Fantasy Baseball: Week 17

Results

AZ SnakePit 9, Browncoats 1
Not a game that will be remembered for great pitching overall, both teams posting ERAs over five. That category did give Brown their sole point, 5.32 being enough. Otherwise, AZ swept the board, behind 7 RBIs apiece from Martin, Ortiz and Jeter. They batted .306 overall. Johnson led Brown with six RBIs.
Man of the Match: Mussina (AZ) - 2 W, 12 K, 1.08 WHIP

DFA'ders 1, JByrnesIsMyHomie 9
Leaders Byrnes maintained their ferocious pace with a demolition of DFA, who were limited to Saves, thanks to four from Jones. Byrnes pounded out 12 HR, every starter bar Martinez contributing. For DFA, Cameron had two and 7 RBIs, but were largely blown away .
Man of the Match: Dye (Byrnes) - 5 R, 3 HR, 8 RBI, .364

Uk Dbacks 6, Random Fandom 4
This was the closest game in a week of one-sided contests: UK took all the hitting categories, while Random dominated pitching, but UK's six saves (three for Nathan) broke the pattern and were enough for victory. Lackey had two wins and 13 K's for Random.
Man of the Match: Howard (UK) - 8 R, 4 HR, 9 RBI, .304

GregSchulteOverdrive 2, BigLebowski 7
The surprise of the week was Big taking Greg back to school in an offense-heavy game: both teams batted .300+, and had ERAs north of seven. Big posted an amazing .378 average for the week, with Furcal, Hall and Anderson all over .400. Maddux had two wins; Barrett two HR for Greg.
Man of the Match: Hall (Big) - 6 R, 4 HR, 10 RBI, .409

The Fighting Amish 8, ?Chalino Sanchez! 2
Amish continued their chase to the top, powered by the amazing Utley, though Beltran (7 R, 5 HR, 15 RBI, 2 SB) was almost as good. Bonderman had 15 K's for them; Liriano 12 for Chalino, who got 2 HR and 7 RBIs from Ramirez, but were limited to winning BA and Saves.
Man of the Match: Utley (Amish) - 13 R, 5 HR, 11 RBI, 2 SB, .441

KarateMonkeyDeathCar 1, The Loose Seals 8
Seals completed a good week for the top three (25-4-1) by beating Karate, one Save short of sweeping pitching, and losing only RBIs. Karate had the best player, but Ramirez had no support: the rest managed 2 HR combined. Harang had 15 K's for Seals; Pierzynski, 6 R and 5 RBIs.
Man of the Match: Ramirez (Karate) - 5 R, 2 HR, 9 RBI, .381

BBTNG 3, 7-2 Offsuiters 6
Most categories were quite close: 3 RBIs and 2 K's separated the teams. However, 7-2 took their pitching and rode it to victory, with a 3.55 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. For BBTNG, Dunn scored 8 runs and 5 RBIs; Zito (BBTNG) and Francis (7-2) each had a win and 10 K's.
Man of the Match: Glaus (7-2) - 8 R, 1 HR, 8 RBI, .565
