AZ SnakePit Fantasy Baseball: Week 16

Results

AZ SnakePit 4, JByrnesIsMyHomie 6
League leaders Byrnes fought off the challenge of Snakepit, with a strong performance at the plate, where all but SB went their way. AZ had the edge in pitching, with 11 K's and an 0.86 Whip from Padilla their best player. Papelbon notched three SVs for Byrnes.
Man of the Match: Atkins (Byrnes) - 8 R, 2 HR, 7 RBI, .407

DFA'ders 8, Uk Dbacks 2
Cantu's 7 RBIs, with 6 from Young, powered DFA to a convincing victory. UK batted .313, behind Tejada's .500, but that and saves (three from Nathan) were their only wins. Kazmir had 14 K's for DFA, and Bedard added 9 - it might have been more had food-poisoning not struck him down.
Man of the Match: Zambrano (DFA) - 1 W, 10 K, 1.12 ERA, 0.75 WHIP

Browncoats 9, BigLebowski 1
Brown steamrollered Big, dropping only K's, as no-one had more than five for them - Big got 11 from Willis. Otherwise, it was all 'Coats week, though against a tougher opponent, .276 and a 1.57 WHIP might not have been enough. Sexson and Hall had three HR apiece.
Man of the Match: Edmonds (Brown) - 5 R, 4 HR, 6 RBI, SB

GregSchulteOverdrive 5, ?Chalino Sanchez! 4
Greg held Chalino to a tie at 29 runs apiece, and that was enough to give them the edge in this encounter. Greg batted .318 and benefited from good team output: however, Chalino had great individual performances from Ramirez [5 HR] and Liriano [2 W, 17 K].
Man of the Match: Wells (Greg) - 8 R, 4 HR, 10 RBI, .448

The Fighting Amish 9, The Loose Seals 1
The Amish went Seal-clubbing this week, losing only K's, though in Seals' defense, they margin was just one in W + SB, two in RBI, and three in R + HR. Konerko had three HR for Amish, with Beltran adding 6 RBIs. Schmidt and Lilly posted 10 K's apiece for Seals.
Man of the Match: Rodriguez (Amish) - 3 Sv, 0.00 ERA

KarateMonkeyDeathCar 0, 7-2 Offsuiters 8
Ouch. That'll leave a mark, as 7-2 shut out the Karate boys. Ties in SB and SV were all they could muster, despite a 6 run, 7 RBI week from Ramirez. 7-2's pitchers piled up seven wins, while Glaus and Delgado had 8 RBIs each, and the team as a whole batted .326.
Man of the Match: Garland (7-2) - 2 W, 0.59 ERA, 0.91 WHIP

BBTNG 4, Random Fandom 6
Fandom prevailed despite posting zeroes in both SB and SV categories. They hit .359 for the week, led by Mauer and Mench at .500, while Tracy scored nine runs. For BBTNG, Cuddyer drove in eight, but an ERA over six indicates where their problems lay in this encounter.
Man of the Match: Overbay (Random) - 5 R, 2 HR, 8 RBI, .367
