AZ SnakePit Fantasy Baseball: Week 9

AZ SnakePit 5, 7-2 Offsuiters 4
A tense game was decided on Sunday, when Oswalt's failure to start likely cost 7-2 the game: they lost by one win and 3 K's. RBIs were tied at 31, with Garciaparra's six, and nine runs scored leading AZ. Duke picked up two wins.
Man of the Match: Patterson (7-2) - 7 R, 2 HR, 8 SB

DFA'ders 2, BBTNG 7
DFA'ders' arms blew up, posting a 7.22 ERA, and BBTNG swept pitching as a result, albeit only by a single save and two K's. On the other hand, BB's hitters batted just .236, and Wilkerson's 7 RBIs gave that to DFA as well.
Man of the Match: Byrnes (BBTNG) - 5 R, 4 HR, 6 RBI, 2 SB

Uk Dbacks 6, KarateMonkeyDeathCar 4
UK continued to show improvement, with their pitching especially effective this time, though both K's and ERA were close. Karate did better in hitting, save a .251 average, with Ramirez's 3 HR and 8 RBI their best performance.
Man of the Match: Marquis (UK) - 2 W, 7 K, 4.50 ERA

JByrnesIsMyHomie 7, The Fighting Amish 1
JByrnes delivered another pounding of a rival, dispatching the Amish with a .321 average, 43 runs and 13 homers. Their pitching was strong too, though W's and K's were tied. Utley and Rollins scored eight runs each for Amish.
Man of the Match: Young (Byrnes) - 2 W, 12 K, 0.00 ERA, 0.38 WHIP

Browncoats 3, GregSchulteOverdrive 5
Browncoats had a 2.88 ERA and 1.05 WHIP, but outside that, points were hard to come by. Wells had more HR by himself for Greg, than all Browncoats' roster, and Greg also took runs easily, 32-17. Sexson's 8 RBIs weren't enough for Browncoats.
Man of the Match: Wells (Greg) - 4 R, 4 HR, 7 RBI, .389

The Loose Seals 8, BigLebowski 2
Street's sole save was enough to give Big that category, but that and BA were their only wins. Otherwise, it was Loose all the way, though only by a single win and SB, and 2 RBIs. Three pitchers reached double-digits in K's for Loose.
Man of the Match: Vazquez (Loose) - 2 W, 11 K, 3.65 ERA

?Chalino Sanchez! 5, Random Fandom 5
This hard-fought match ended in a tie, and it was a real pitching duel too, with ERAs of 2.16 and 2.23 for the two teams. Random racked up 50 K's behind the Big Unit's 12, but Ray's relief work gave Chalino saves, and Ordonez had 9 RBIs for them.
Man of the Match: Santana (Random) - 1 W, 9 K, 1.13 ERA, 0.25 WHIP

Their infield has been a source of strength, with Ortiz hitting 16 homers, and Garciaparra batting .369. Halladay and Mussina have seven wins each. Loose have a slugging 1B too, in Giambi, but Jones, Burrell and A-Rod also have double figures in homers: however, only Pierzynski is hitting over .300. Vazquez has seven wins for them, but Schmidt's 1.02 WHIP may be more impressive.
