AZ SnakePit Fantasy Baseball: Week 10

AZ SnakePit 4, The Loose Seals 5
The televised game was a back-and-forth affair, with the teams swapping categories all the way up until ERA. HR was tied at ten apiece, with Giambi, Burrell and Griffey notching three each. Giambi also had 8 RBIs, as did new AZ catcher, Martin.
Man of the Match: Schmidt (Loose) - 1 W, 21 K, 1.20 ERA

DFA'ders 8, 7-2 Offsuiters 2
DFA'ders' cut 4.33 off their previous ERA, with a fine all-round performance. They batted .367 with 15 HR, and only SB and Sv went 7-2's way, despite an 11-RBI performance from Delgado. Berkman and Uggla had three homers each for DFA.
Man of the Match: Zambrano (DFA) - 2 W, 0.57 ERA, 0.83 WHIP

Uk Dbacks 4, BBTNG 6
BBTNG swept pitching with six wins, two for Zito, and six saves, though a 4.33 ERA was unspectacular. Hitting was dominated by UK, who batted .336 for the week. Howard had 3 HR for them, while Dunn had the same for BBTNG.
Man of the Match: Gonzalez (BBTNG) - 4 Sv, 0.00 ERA

JByrnesIsMyHomie 4, KarateMonkeyDeathCar 5
This was an old-fashioned pitchers' duel, both teams posting ERAs below 3.00 and combining for 90 K's. Most categories were close: Byrnes took wins by one, and RBIs by two, with 11 from Martinez. Francoeur and Hafner had 3 HR each for Karate.
Man of the Match: Hernandez (Karate) - 2 W, 14 K, 1.69 ERA, 0.75 WHIP

Browncoats 5 The Fighting Amish 5
Truly a game of two halves, Brian. Amish went 5-0 in hitting; Browncoats, 5-0 in pitching. Wins and saves were the closest categories - the margin just one in each. Beltran's showing in AZ won him overall league honours as player of the week.
Man of the Match: Beltran (Amish) - 13 R, 3 HR, 12 RBI, .483

GregSchulteOverdrive 8, Random Fandom 1
Schulte had great production from their arms: 1.97 ERA and a 0.78 WHIP. Fandom couldn't match that, and their only win was BA, behind a .297 average. SB's were tied at three; Random's Webb had 16 K's, two-thirds of his team's total.
Man of the Match: Wright (Greg) - 6 R, 6 RBI, 1 SB, .379

?Chalino Sanchez! 1, BigLebowski 9
Blowout of the week went to Big; Chalino's hitters rolled over, scoring only one home-run between them, with only eighteen runs and no SB. Their only success was K's, 40-34, but Big took everything else, with Hall's 3 HR powering their offense.
Man of the Match: Street (Big) - 5 Sv, 0.00 ERA, 0.19 WHIP

The televised game will see Greg face the Amish. Carlos Lee has powered Greg's offense with 20 homers and 50 RBIs, but Wells, Rios and Wright are also dangerous hitters. On the mound, Schilling and Rogers are their aces, though Sabathia's ERA is better than either. Amish will look to avoid previous late slumps, that have seen them blow Sunday leads. Six players have 40 or more RBIs, led by Carlos Beltran's 49. Pitching may be their weakness, with few big names in the rotation after Beckett and Penny.
