A five-game winning streak, and our ace, the unbeaten Brandon Webb on the mound. I'm tempted to put that six-game streak in the books right now, but as we saw against Greg Maddux, unbeaten records are very easy to lose. And we're playing the surprising Cincinnati Reds, who are probably the hottest team in baseball, having gone 12-3 in their last fifteen games - and they're 12-0 when scoring more than two runs over that time.
But, hey, we've the same record as the Reds over their last ten games, at 8-2, which is the best in the majors. So this is actually a clash of the two hottest teams in baseball right now. When was the last time that statement involved Arizona? While a winning homestand is already guaranteed, I would like to see us win tonight, and one of the other games in the series Sat/Sun: a 6-1 homestand would be a great start to May.

No Jackson tonight. :-( Let's hope our offense can overcome the black holes playing on the right side of the infield.
