AZ SnakePit Fantasy Baseball: Week 7

AZ SnakePit 6, KarateMonkeyDeathCar 4
After Friday, Karate held a 9-1 lead, thanks to Snakepit's Cruz and his amazing 0.2 IP, 9 ER start. But a stirring comeback brought AZ back, despite no wins and only one save. Five AZ hitters had 7 RBI, Giles had 10 for Karate.
Man of the Match: Iguchi (AZ) - 6 R, 3 HR, 7 RBI, .333

DFA'ders 4, The Fighting Amish 5
Amish pipped DFA, a tie in SB's proving enough to give them the edge. DFA's power pitchers were on form (19 K's for Kazmir, 17 for Zambrano), but Buerhle's 0.44 WHIP gave Amish that category by 0.02. Chipper Jones led all hitters with 10 RBI.
Man of the Match: Kazmir (DFA) - 2 W, 19 K, 0.60 ERA, 0.80 WHIP

Uk Dbacks 6, GregSchulteOverdrive 1
UK's easy win over Greg was a shock, especially with a lineup that was three men short. Despite this, they were one SB short of sweeping hitting, and K's were the only category Greg took, led by Sabathia with 9. Feliz was MotM for the second week running.
Man of the Match: Feliz (UK) - 8 R, 3 HR, 10 RBI, .321

JByrnesIsMyHomie 9, Browncoats 1
Byrnes surged to the top with a solid, all-round performance, hitting .315 and with an ERA of 2.81. Browncoats took wins, behind a pair each from Millwood and Glavine, but otherwise, it was all Byrnes.
Man of the Match: Soriano (Byrnes) - 5 R, 3 HR, 5 RB, 4 SB

BBTNG 8, BigLebowski 2
BBTNG pounded out 40 runs on their way to a sweep in hitting powered, inevitably, by Pujols. Pitching was much more even, but three BBTNG starters allowed no earned runs, and an ERA of 1.94 was enough to counter Willis and his allies.
Man of the Match: Pujols (Big) - 7 R, 3 HR, 6 RBI

7-2 Offsuiters 1, ?Chalino Sanchez! 9
The ESPN game turned into a blowout for Sanchez: 7-2 could only muster 18 runs in the week, so Chalino swept hitting. Two saves by Putz gave 7-2 their sole point, but Chacon's 47.25 ERA largely doomed them.
Man of the Match: Lowell (Chalino) - 6 R, 3 HR, 7 RBI, .400

The Loose Seals 5, Random Fandom 4
K's were tied at 38, in a contest where Seals dominated pitching, Random hitting. Rivera's vulture wins proved crucial for Seals, as their starters managed only one victory. Fandom hit .330, with Mauer and Guillen both over .420 this week.
Man of the Match: Rivera (Seals) - 2 W, 1 SV, 6 K

Byrnes vs. Schulte is the ESPN games of the week, as Byrnes begin a tough stretch of their schedule, which also sees them face Amish next week. Byrnes have lost only 15 points in seven weeks, Tomko, Verlander and Capuano leading a strong pitching staff - Amish look to counter this with Carpenter and Schilling. Soriano (Byrnes) and Lee (Schulte) lead all participants here with 15 HRs, while Broussard (Schulte) has hit .380 this season.
