Gameday Thread #5: 4/9 vs. Milwaukee

Vargas, (0-0, 0.00)
Capuana (1-0, 3.00)

Remember Chris Capuano? He used to play for us, but was dispatched for Wisconsin as part of the Richie Sexson mega-trade. He's proven himself capable since, and has a nasty tendency to step up his game against us - last year, he allowed two earned runs in 13 innings vs. Arizona.

Of course, he's a leftie, which will certainly help. We'll see how Melvin adjusts the lineup accordingly this time, as we face our second southpaw in a row. Easley replaced Tracy in today's game, but I imagine Chad will be back in the lineup; Snyder also replaced Estrada, and that too will probably be reversed today.

There's been talk of giving Andy Green a start too - he's had just one at-bat through five games. Hudson might be a candidate for a break, having hardly covered himself in glory to date this year. But I feel we must eat our Greens (as my mother used to say at dinnertime!), and so to stop us from exceeding our quota, I'd like to see Shawn Green sit down, with DaVanon in CF and Byrnes in RF. Whether Melvin feels the same, we shall see...
