AZ SnakePit Fantasy Baseball: Week 2

Results

Uk Dbacks 3, AZ SnakePit 4
An even contest, with three categories (R, SB and Saves) ending in dead heats. Snakepit had the better pitching, behind Patterson's 17 K week, but the UK team took the hitting 2-1, their team averaging .338 and smacking twelve home-runs.
Man of the Match: Konerko (UK) - 9 R, 4 HR, 9 RBI, .522

Random Fandom 5, DFA'ders 5
Truly a game of two halves. Fandom ruled on the mound, piling up seven wins and a 2.25 ERA, but the DFA'ders were equally dominating with the lumber. So does good pitching beat good hitting? Not here: this one ended dead even.
Man of the Match: Gomez (DFA) - 6 R, 3 HR, 9 RBI, .273

BigLebowski 3, JByrnesIsMyHomie 7
Both teams showed strong in Week 1, but it was JByrnes who came out victorious here, sweeping the pitching categories behind a 0.95 WHIP. Mind you, Big's WHIP was 2.05 (Street and Perez got caned), but Thome's 10 runs and four homers helped them win those categories.
Man of the Match: Smoltz (JByr) - 9 IP, 0 ERA, 0.67 WHIP

?Chalino Sanchez! 4, Browncoats 5
A very close game: for example, Chalino won BA by just .002. Guardado and Ray helped them dominate saves, but the rest of the pitching went Brown's way, with Glavine's 11 K shutout their star performance.
Man of the Match: Ray (Cha) - 1 W, 3 Sv, 0 ERA, 0.60 WHIP

The Loose Seals 3, GregSchulteOverdrive 6
Greg stayed top with victory over the Seals, though it was closer than it looked: the total margin in W, Sv and K was just five. But Greg's sweep of pitching proved enough to counter Seals' offensive challenge, where they scored 40 runs.
Man of the Match: Giambi (Greg) - 6 R, 4 HR, 10 RBI, .571

7-2 Offsuiters 1, The Fighting Amish 6
Offsuiters did get on the board this week: a 33-27 win in RBI gave them their first point of the year. They also tied in HR, W and SV, and lost BA by only .002. Amish won't be happy with a 4.89 ERA, but it was enough to win, and 7 SB also proved unstoppable.
Man of the Match: Beckett (Fight) - 2 W, 1.29 ERA, 1.00 WHIP

BBTNG 7, KarateMonkeyDeathCar 2
Behind Pujols and Dunn, BBTNG almost swept hitting, narrowly losing only in BA, and swatting 16 homers. Karate held a closed-door meeting with their outfield (4 RBIs in total, all at .200 or less), and want better than a 6.12 ERA too.
Man of the Match: Pujols (BBTNG) - 9 R, 5 HR, 9 RBI, .381

ESPN's game of the week is The Loose Seals vs. The Fighting Amish. The Seals have shown strong offense, five men in their lineup batting .300 or better, led by Castillo (.361), Giambi (.344) and Damon (.340). But the Amish seem up to the task, with Beckett, Buehrle and Penny shutting down the opposition, posting seven wins and a sub-2.00 ERA. The two forces clash this week, only in the AZ SnakePit Fantasy Baseball League... :-)
