It's Balkmaster Shawn on the mound this afternoon (see today's earlier entry - he's going for double figures). He proved very effective last time out, in his return from a lengthy absence, pitching six shutout innings at Coors, even without much of a curveball. A win today would give us a split of the season series at 3-3, and give us our third series victory in a row, something which hasn't happened since May 9-22, when we beat the Nats, Rockies, Astros and Tigers.
Will be hoping for some more from our hitters, however, who've only scored five runs in the past 29 2/3 innings. Gonzalez is back in left field, with Jackson getting the start at first, and Koyie Hill behind the plate. I'll be around for this one, which makes a nice change, so will be commenting in full effect, as I drift around between TV, radio and Gamecast. Feel free to join me.
