Old lion, vs. young turk. Both of them bobbing around the .500 mark in wins and 4.00 for ERA. Glavine has a 2.37 ERA against AZ; Webb a 2.36 mark vs. NY. Interesting to see who'll come out on top.
The Mets are without Piazza, who broke a bone in his hand, but are still involved in the NL Wild Card hunt, despite being dead-last in the East - they're only three back of the Phillies. They're coming off home series wins against the Nationals and Phillies, but have dropped 11 of 16 on the road.
Glavine's a leftie, but still no room for Conor Jackson, though the way Clark has been hitting - and Conor hasn't, save into double plays - this probably isn't too surprising. Green starts in CF, so we'll see how his generally-perceived weakness against LHP plays out today.
