Greetings from Vegas, where I'm toying with the idea of putting some cash on the D-backs to win the World Series. You can still get 20-1 odds, which seems generous, for a team occupying a playoff slot with only two months to go. Not the best of results on Sunday, but we've got the day off to forget about it, and send our ace to the mound tomorrow, so I'm optimistic this was more of a road-bump than anything. Will be back in Phx for that tomorrow, US Airways permitting... :-)

I put $25 down pre-season

on winning the NL pennant and winning the WS. I stand to make a killing if they pull it off.

I got 75-1 to win the World Series

Found those odds while in Vegas back in November. I put down 200 bucks. Sucker born every minute.

I saw 66/1 before the season

Seriously thought about sticking some cash down. However, didn't get to Vegas, and most of the offshore bookmakers (the 66/1 place was in the UK, actually) won't touch US bettors these days. Certainly, those odds seem a total steal now.
